13.  Find your inspiration & motivation will follow.

Motivational quotes, pictures & videos seem to be everywhere, but motivation requires constant effort to maintain. Inspiration comes from the inside & is linked to what you value most. Find out what is most important to you and get inspired, for what moves you motivates you!

14.  Get clear on your priorities.

What is most important to you? What priorities do you need accountability for? Which ones are intrinsic? How are they different than before? What has changed? What do you do everyday?

15.  Re-frame your goals to honor your top priorities.

Take a different perspective on your goals. How does each one help you stay true to what matters most to you? If at first glance it doesn't, re-think the connection, re-analyze your steps & re-word your goal so it does!

Goals that don't honor your top values can be re-evaluated when your priorities change.

16.  Respect your mind & body relationship.

How would you treat your best friend? With love and respect! Well, you deserve the same. Be aware of negative self-talk & self sabotage. Thoughts are just thoughts & your body always tries it's best to keep you safe & healthy.

Trust that together, your mind & body want what's best for you & will try to tell you in many ways.

"...your mind & body want what's best for you..."

17.  Food is communication.

Food is basically a combination of biological & non-biological chemicals that send information to our bodies. We react based on how & what we eat to build, repair, burn & heal the body.

18.  Proper Nutrition > Calories

We take what resources we have and reuse them in different ways. Eating a chicken breast isn't the same as eating a honey cruller donut, but they have the same amount of calories.

The quality & make-up of the calorie will affect the ways a body can use it, but each body's system chooses how to use it. A donut doesn't have many usable resources, whereas a chicken breast does.

19.  Use food to support & help heal the body.

Did you get sick this flu season? Have sore muscles after using them? Food is used to support not just our immune system and other functions on a daily basis, but repairs us when we need it!

20.  “Diet” is just a way of eating.

Pet peeve: "Diet" isn't just a temporary or fad eating plan focused on restriction. It's just the foods we habitually eat. Restriction is not necessary! (Unless you have allergies of course! Lol!)

“Diet is just a way of eating."

21.  Find exercise you ENJOY.

Do bootcamp style workouts get you motivated? Maybe you're a social person and love a group class or sport. Do you prefer privacy? Maybe a home workout is for you. Not much time? Try Tabata or rest-based workouts.

Try everything!

22.  Our bodies like to move.

"A body in motion will stay in motion, while a body at rest will remain at rest" - Sir Issac Newton's law of inertia. All of our systems are connected. We thrive on movement for things like metabolism, self-esteem & to maintain structural integrity.

Divert energy to the thrusters!

23.  A good sleep promotes good decisions.

Sleep detoxes the brain and helps us manage the events & stresses of the day. When we are aware & manage our emotions, we create space to think & respond instead of react emotionally.

"Sleep detoxes the brain."

24.  Our surroundings influence our perception.

Our environment sends signals to our senses which we interpret with our experience & emotions to create our perception of reality. ...Whoa! Deep, I know.

With who, what & where do you spend your time?

Creating sustainable, healthy lifestyles is long term success!
How can we support each other as we move forward?
